, in partnership with a leading automotive technology organization, is seeking a skilled Reliability Engineer (Electronics). This role is responsible for ensuring electronic components and PCBAs meet vehicle mission and reliability targets while supporting design, validation, and supplier collaboration efforts. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in electronics reliability and failure analysis within automotive or consumer electronics environments.
- Define and communicate electronic reliability requirements, targets, and validation test plans
- Provide guidance on electronic component selection to meet performance and lifecycle objectives
- Evaluate component and PCBA reliability against vehicle mission profiles
- Lead root cause investigations with internal engineering teams and external suppliers
- Analyze field and validation failures to determine corrective actions
- Review electrical systems, schematics, and PCB layouts to identify potential reliability risks
- Support failure analysis activities using advanced laboratory techniques
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with reliability standards and specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in electronics reliability within automotive or consumer electronics industries
- Strong knowledge of physics of failure for low-voltage passive and active components
- Experience with PCBA troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and system designs
- Experience developing and executing reliability validation plans
- Familiarity with failure analysis tools including optical microscopy, X-ray, CT, FTIR, SEM, and EDS
- Experience supporting supplier quality or component qualification processes
- Knowledge of industry reliability standards and automotive qualification requirements
- Background in environmental and lifecycle stress testing methodologies
- Experience analyzing warranty or field-return data to identify systemic issues
