Senior Field Reliability Engineer; Low Voltage

Overview

Our Client, an EV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Senior Field Reliability Engineer (Low Voltage) for their Tustin, CA location.

• Decompose System features in DFMEA and facilitating FMEA working sessions with cross functional teams.
• Guide engineering teams on electronic failure modes, typical countermeasures for reliability failures, and design guidelines
• Deep knowledge of data modeling.
• Develop Accelerated aging models different types of failure mechanisms.
• Knowledge of Highly Accelerated Testing methods and governing equations is needed.
• Develop tools and processes to model fleet health stress for electronics.
• Apply experience with applied statistics in the field of Reliability.

• Degree education in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical (or similar).
• Over 5 years of experience within the automotive or consumer electronics industry, working within the EE domain.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of integrity.
• Deep knowledge of vehicle system functions.
• Experience with a coding language, preferably Python.
• Level of role depends on experience and Qualifications.
• In addition, a strong technical background, interest in reliability and experience in the following areas:
• Experience with electrical systems and schematics Knowledge of PCBA troubleshooting techniques
• Physics of failure knowledge for low voltage passive and active electrical components and PCBAs
• Familiarity with failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, X-ray, CT, FTIR, SEM, EDS.
