Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Employment Type: 100% Onsite

Requirement: Must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check

Pay: $28-35 with benefits

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Lab Technician to join our team focused on reliability and manufacturing testing of Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies electrical hardware. This includes advanced Level 3+ ADAS systems, telematics, infotainment, battery management systems, and zonal Electronic Control Units (ECUs).

In this role, you will collaborate with engineering leads to conduct comprehensive testing, troubleshoot issues, and build first-article prototypes. You will also work with our custom automated test solutions, including internal software, low‑level firmware, data management platforms, and electromechanical hardware deployed across internal labs, external facilities, and contract manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate software interfaces to exercise test equipment during hardware bring-up.
  • Validate system functionality using standard laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, power supplies, and digital multimeters.
  • Perform calibration and mechanical setup of thermal and vibration test chambers.
  • Troubleshoot, root cause, and document failures in devices under test (DUT), test equipment, and harnesses.
  • Conduct circuit board modifications, including soldering, de‑soldering, and component rework.
  • Support commissioning of new systems and test platforms.
  • Proactively identify gaps in processes or procedures and implement improvements.
Qualifications
  • Technical degree in electronics or relevant hands‑on experience in electronics testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and manufacturer datasheets.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience building automated test equipment (ATE) or industrial automation systems.
  • Proficient with soldering, circuit board rework, and use of power tools.
  • Strong experience with electrical testing using laboratory tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
  • Ability to lift and move test boxes and instrumentation as required.
  • Hands‑on approach with a proactive mindset and attention to detail.
