We are looking for a Sr. Transportation Project Manager in Ontario or Tustin, CA who will focus on project management, design leadership, and business development, contributing to the delivery of complex transportation infrastructure focused on District 8 or 12.

• Lead and manage transportation projects for local and state agencies.
• Ensure excellence in project execution, delivering high‑quality, on‑time, and on‑budget outcomes.
• Oversee transportation designs and plan development, applying technical knowledge of roadway and infrastructure engineering.
• Provide guidance and leadership to design teams, ensuring that engineering documents and deliverables meet contractual requirements and align with DEA’s Quality Management standards, with the ability to stamp project plans.
• Assist in cultivating and maintaining effective client relationships; serve as a pursuit champion and Client Team Lead as appropriate.
• Promote employee development and provide career growth opportunities.
• Assist the Roads and Highways California Group Leader in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
• Adhere to DEA’s company‑wide tools, processes, and policies (project accounting, contracting, quality assurance standards).

• 15+ years of transportation engineering experience, with at least 5 years in project management or as a design lead.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California.

• Strong background working with public agencies, including CALTRANS.
• Expertise in roadway design and an understanding of bridge design, including hands‑on experience with Open Roads Designer.
