Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Tustin, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely collection of payments and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Your expertise in handling billing functions and resolving discrepancies will contribute to the efficiency and success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct daily outreach to clients for payment collection and account follow-ups.

- Negotiate and establish payment plans with clients to resolve outstanding balances.

- Accurately post payments to accounts and ensure proper documentation.

- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies to maintain account accuracy.

- Collaborate with internal teams to address client concerns and improve collection processes.

- Monitor account statuses and prepare reports on collection activities.

- Maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards during all collection efforts.

- Build positive relationships with clients to encourage timely payments and maintain trust.

- Identify and escalate complex cases to management as necessary. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of billing functions and cash handling procedures.

- Proficiency in managing commercial and consumer collections.

- Experience with B2B collections and credit management.

- Ability to resolve billing discrepancies and negotiate payment arrangements.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Familiarity with industry-specific collections processes is preferred.

- Organizational skills and attention to detail to handle multiple accounts effectively.
