Systems Engineer

Reporting to the VP of IT, the
** Systems Engineer
** is a professional responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Lendistry’s information technology infrastructure. They play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of IT systems, networks, and hardware/software components. Services and systems include Identity Management, Directory Services, Cloud Services, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure. We are passionate about supporting our fellow employees. Mentoring front line IT personnel when possible is imperative. This is a fast-paced team, requiring a willingness to stretch and learn something new every day.

Comply with the regulatory recordkeeping requirements, including retaining, archiving, and producing the electronic communication data according to the applicable laws and regulations.  Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design efficient, scalable IT systems. Install, configure, and deploy hardware and software components including servers, networks, operating systems, databases, and applications. Provide technical support to the Service Desk when requested and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless user experience and issue resolution.

On-Call Responsibilities:
Participate in an on-call rotation and perform after-hours work as needed to support system maintenance or resolve urgent issues.  Manage assigned projects and deliver tasks on time while meeting established quality standards.

** Education &

Certifications:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often required. Relevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are highly valued.

Technical

Skills:

4+ years of experience. Proficiency in configuring and managing operating systems (Windows, Linux), networks (LAN/WAN), virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper

V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

Experience with scripting languages such as Power Shell or Python and IT automation tools is beneficial.

Network

Infrastructure: Familiarity with routing, switching, VPN, VLANs, firewalls, wireless technologies, and network security concepts including access control, intrusion detection/prevention, and encryption.
