AI Governance & Enablement Advisor

We are seeking an experienced AI Governance & Enablement Advisor to help assess, formalize, and strengthen an organization's AI governance program. This is a strategic advisory and coaching role focused on governance, risk management, organizational enablement, and long-term capability building rather than hands-on technical execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the current AI governance program and identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Advise leaders on AI use cases, risk, approvals, accountability, and decision-making.
  • Help establish or refine AI governance policies, standards, intake processes, risk assessments, and operating procedures.
  • Support the development and maturity of an AI Center of Excellence.
  • Guide the implementation and adoption of AI governance tools and workflows.
  • Partner with legal, compliance, security, technology, and business stakeholders.
  • Advise on AI training, employee enablement, and internal champion programs.
  • Coach internal teams and transfer knowledge so the program can operate independently.
Qualifications
  • Experience building or improving an AI governance, GRC, security, privacy, or risk-management program.
  • Experience working in a regulated or complex enterprise environment.
  • Practical knowledge of frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and ISO/IEC 23894.
  • Strong understanding of AI risks, including data exposure, inaccurate outputs, bias, model security, and human oversight.
  • Ability to advise executives and facilitate discussions across legal, compliance, security, technology, and business teams.
  • Strong communication, coaching, stakeholder-management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance without serving as a hands-on technical resource.
