Role Summary

This role is responsible for translating project scope into executable plans by aligning parts, materials, procurement, timing, and cross‑functional coordination so work moves with speed, quality, and clear ownership. The project manager operates with a level of independence and is expected to build structure across ambiguous or fast‑moving work. The project manager is accountable not only for supporting day‑to‑day coordination, but also for improving planning methods, preemptively identifying risks, influencing team execution, and defining the processes and standards that support stronger build outcomes across VQAF.

Responsibilities
  • Lead build readiness across assigned VQAF projects, including parts status, shop space planning, timing, and readiness to begin work.
  • Build and maintain executable plans that connect project scope to schedule, vehicle shipping, resource needs, procurement inputs, budget considerations, and build timing.
  • Centralize documentation and cross communication in conjunction with Procurement lead for build activity, including production part orders, purchase orders, credit card orders, vendor‑related requests, and logistics handoff.
  • Gain alignment and communicate for the purchase and organization of parts, consumables, gear, and other materials needed to support builds/events, reducing downtime across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Partner with project leads, shop managers, engineers, technicians, fabricators, program managers, procurement leads, and logistics teams to align on deliverables, blockers, risks, decisions, and next steps.
  • Communicate clear direction, priorities, and status across stakeholders, including advocating on behalf of the team and vehicles when tradeoffs, risks, or changing priorities impact execution.
  • Establish and maintain systems, routines, trackers, checklists, tools that improve readiness, ordering clarity, handoffs, and follow‑through across VQAF build activity.
  • Within the process to build, organize, and maintain tickets keeping projects on task and high level of documentation.
  • During offsite events and projects coordinate travel: team travel invites, coordinating specialty accommodations, and team meals.
  • Support and produce specialty drive events, product launches, and specialty projects.
Qualifications
  • Typically 4+ years of related experience in Project Management.
  • Strong working knowledge of show or event vehicles, prototype component or sub‑system builds, specialty drive events and activations, specialty projects, specialty vehicle builds.
  • Working familiarity with media operations and logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex assignments independently, balance multiple priorities, and coordinate effectively across multiple projects with multiple teams.
  • Strong data hygiene, reporting discipline, and comfort owning detailed execution work using Jira, spreadsheets, fleet tools, dashboards, or similar systems in a fast‑moving environment.
Pay Disclosure

The salary range for this role is $98,500 - $123,100 for California based applicants.
