Expected starting base salary $55 to $60 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Corporate Accounting Department's day-to-day operations.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close by supervising the close calendars to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Support the annual audit process by responding to inquiries, preparing requested documents, and testing internal controls.
- Oversee the quarterly/annual SOX process to ensure the company's compliance.
- Review and reconcile various monthly and quarterly schedules for the Corporate Reporting team.
- Direct and review balance sheet accounts and bank reconciliations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve and drive efficiency.
- Enforce internal controls and ensure proper accounting procedures are followed.
- Prepare analytical financial reports to assist with reporting requirements.
- Provide accounting and technical guidance to the accounting team to develop their skills.
- Manage and support the payroll manager and related payroll functions, including reviewing and approving biweekly payroll.
- Review and approve journal entries.
- Plan and direct Corporate Accounting project activities to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule, within scope, and meet quality objectives.
- Oversee the company's construction projects, including the submittal of monthly draw requests.
- Work on special projects with executive/senior management.
- Perform backup duties as necessary.
- Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
- At least 3 years of personnel supervisory and leadership experience.
- At least 5 years of experience Accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficient in other Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a team player who works towards team goals and achievements.
- Exceptional research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize, and multitask.
- Dependable, highly motivated, and a team player with a strong work ethic.
