Quality Assurance Lab Technician

Quality Assurance Lab Technician needed for a manufacturing company in Tustin CA.

Temporary to Hire position paying $29/hr. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (flexible to start at 6:30 AM).

Job Summary:

Perform laboratory inspection, testing on raw, in process and final products, and analysis to support QA. Assist in the investigation of quality issues, field failures and root cause analysis as required in support of production.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Quality Control
  • Maintain quality control files and records
  • Responsible for running quality control checks on all manufacturing and jobber products.
  • Testing of products by customers
• New Product Evaluation
  • Through testing, establish figures for data sheets on new products (i.e.; tensile strength, flexural strength, tear strength, specific gravity, shrinkage, viscosity, etc. per ASTM standards)
• Assist the QA manager and Research & Development as needed with small batch testing and formulating.
• Responsible for organization and cleanliness of the Quality Control area

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualifications: 2-5 years of technical knowledge in a chemical laboratory setting and direct Quality Assurance experience.
• Skills: Technical aptitude, math skills, strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Hands-on experience with various properties of liquid chemicals. Comfortable at using a variety of instruments and lab equipment. Good communication, organizational and time management skills. Data recording experience.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $29.00 - $29.00 Per Hour
