Sr. Scientist – Downstream and Biologics Formulation Development
Help Develop the Next Generation of Biologic Therapies
Are you passionate about biologics formulation development, protein characterization, and downstream process development
? We’re looking for a Sr. Scientist – Downstream and Biologics Formulation Development to join a growing biopharmaceutical development team supporting innovative biologic therapies.

What You'll Do- Lead biologics formulation development, including pre‑formulation assessments, excipient screening, and stability studies
- Lead downstream process development activities for protein-based biologics
- Support capture chromatography, polishing chromatography, viral inactivation, viral filtration, and TFF operations
- Develop high-concentration protein formulations and address aggregation, viscosity, and solubility challenges
- Design experiments, analyze data, and prepare technical reports and development summaries
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) during client engagements and project reviews
- Conduct analytical characterization
- Collaborate with Cell Line Development, Upstream Process Development, Analytical Sciences, MSAT, Manufacturing, and Program Management
- Maintain quality, regulatory, and safety compliance
- Mentor junior scientists and support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Master’s degree or PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field and minimum 4‑6 years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience in biologics formulation and/or downstream process development
- Hands-on experience with:
- Stability studies
- Analytical and biophysical assays
- On‑site work in Tustin, CA
- Applicants must already be authorized to work in the U.S.
