Laboratory Technician - Organic Prep; Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest

Eurofins Environmental Testing Southwest is searching for a Laboratory Technician I in Tustin, CA. The Sample Preparation Laboratory Technician I utilizes general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and SOPs to weigh, digest, and prepare soil and water samples for GC and GCMS analysis.

• Evaluate backlog and prioritize daily workload based on required due dates and holding times.
• Retrieve samples from storage for preparation.
• Weigh and measure sample aliquots for preparation.
• Document required sample preparation details and observations.
• Prepare reagents and standards for daily use.
• Maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with the laboratory quality assurance program.
• Adhere to environmental health and safety policies while performing daily duties.
• Wash laboratory glassware as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Communicate actively with the department manager, analytical team, and project managers about job status, rush ETA, sample matrix issues, and holding times.
• Assist other areas of the laboratory as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High school Chemistry coursework and basic laboratory experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, and speak).

• General knowledge of chemistry and/or general science.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and multi‑task.
• Work independently and within time constraints.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and attention to detail.
• Self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Compensation range: $18 - $22 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Position is full‑time with possible overtime and weekends as needed.
