Full Time Service Dispatcher
Salary: $21.00-$29.00 per Hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-5:00 PM with occasional overtime opportunities
- Answer incoming customer calls with professionalism, empathy, and urgency.
- Schedule service, maintenance, and installation appointments.
- Dispatch technicians efficiently based on location, skill set, urgency, and schedule availability.
- Monitor technician progress throughout the day and adjust schedules as needed to maximize efficiency.
- Communicate appointment confirmations, delays, and schedule updates with customers.
- Coordinate return visits, warranty work, maintenance agreements, and follow‑up appointments.
- Maintain accurate customer records, work orders, and scheduling information within company software.
- Support technician productivity while balancing customer expectations and business priorities.
- Work closely with service managers and technicians to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with general office and administrative responsibilities as needed.
This position requires strong time‑management skills and the ability to work independently or in a team. It also requires a high level of professionalism and customer‑service standards in stressful situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, respectfulness, and strong problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities are essential.
- Two or more years of dispatching or scheduling experience, preferably in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or home services industry.
- Strong customer service and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience using dispatching, scheduling, CRM, or service management software.
- Comfortable coordinating multiple technicians and adjusting schedules throughout the day.
- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions‑focused under pressure.
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to providing outstanding customer service.
- High school diploma and/or equivalent; preferably a minimum of 6 months of dispatcher or related experience.
- $21.00-$29.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
