Computer Lab Teacher

Oregon Trail Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Computer Lab Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and education, capable of inspiring students to develop their computer skills and digital literacy. This role involves teaching students from diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels, ensuring they gain a strong foundation in computer use and responsible digital citizenship.

Responsibilities:

• Teach students essential computer skills, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and basic coding.
• Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Maintain and troubleshoot computer lab equipment and software, ensuring a functional and efficient learning environment.
• Stay current with advancements in technology and educational practices, incorporating new tools and resources into the curriculum.
• Communicate effectively with students and staff to promote a positive learning experience and address any concerns.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of computer applications, programming languages, and educational technology tools.
• Previous experience teaching computer science or technology in an elementary school setting is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
