Job Summary
Morningside Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a 4th Grade Teacher. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters academic growth and social development for all students. This full‑time position requires a commitment to nurturing a love for learning, promoting critical thinking, and implementing innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including formal assessments and informal observations.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and academic needs.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
- Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning and engage students.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, implementing positive behavior support strategies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
- Foster a love for reading and writing through engaging activities and literature-based instruction.
- Organize and participate in school events, including parent‑teacher conferences and community outreach programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification for elementary education.
- Experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably in 4th grade.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect and inclusivity.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
