Summary

Twin Falls High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Language Arts Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while fostering a love for literature and effective communication. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on students' academic growth and personal development in a supportive and engaging environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student learning in reading, writing, and language skills.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of methods, including tests, projects, and class participation, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs and English language learners.
  • Integrate technology and multimedia resources into lessons to enhance learning experiences.
  • Foster a love for literature by introducing students to a wide range of texts, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.
  • Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and committees as needed to contribute to the overall success of the school community.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Language Arts.
  • Proven experience teaching Language Arts at the high school level is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of language arts curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that respects diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom to enhance student learning.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for fostering student growth and success.
