Special Education IERC

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at Twin Falls High School as a Special Education Instructional Educational Resource Paraprofessional (IERC). This full-time position involves working closely with students with diverse learning needs, providing support and resources to enhance their educational experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and ensuring that all students achieve their full potential.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Provide instructional support to students with disabilities, utilizing specialized strategies and resources to facilitate learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional methods and materials as necessary to meet academic and behavioral goals.
• Assist in the execution of behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) to address specific challenges faced by students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, IEP goals, and relevant documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, empathy, and understanding among all students.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Requires two years of college, an AA degree, or successfully completed the Para Pro Assessment (Praxis Exam).
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of special education best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Ability to implement effective instructional strategies tailored to individual student needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• A passion for advocating for students with special needs and a commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment.

This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law.
