Overview
Nu-Vu Glass is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Project Engineering Technician to support our commercial glass and glazing division. This role works closely with engineering and project management teams to assist in the design, coordination, documentation, and execution of commercial glazing projects.

- Support engineering and project management teams in the design, coordination, and execution of commercial glass and glazing projects.
- Prepare detailed shop drawings based on architectural plans, specifications, and project documents.
- Review architectural plans and specifications to ensure proper coordination and documentation.
- Perform material takeoffs for commercial glass and glazing systems.
- Assist in evaluating system applicability based on project requirements.
- Coordinate project-related documentation and tasks throughout the project lifecycle with internal teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and construction personnel to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.
- Education:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Drafting, or a closely related field with coursework focused on technical drafting, construction documentation, and plan interpretation. - Experience:
Five (5) years of experience in the commercial glazing industry or in a closely related engineering technician or drafting support role. - Alternative
Qualification:
In lieu of a bachelors degree, employer will accept ten (10) years of experience in the commercial glazing industry or in a closely related occupation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Ability to prepare and interpret technical drawings
- Strong dimensional analysis skills
- Experience performing material takeoffs
- Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, project management, and construction teams
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
