Summary
Reporting to the EHS Manager, the EHS Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the company and its employees comply with local, state, and federal Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, as well as company policies and site procedures. This role supports the broader EHS team by driving safety compliance, promoting a culture of safety, and collaborating with all levels of staff to mitigate risks.
This is an onsite role in our Twin Falls, Idaho and is not eligible for remote/ hybrid options. Relocation assistance is provided.
Responsibilities- Assist the EHS Department in managing and executing assigned projects and responsibilities.
- Support departmental teams to maintain compliance with EHS regulations and Chobani's internal safety standards.
- Review and conduct non-routine risk assessments to ensure safe work practices are followed.
- Ensure the Safety Training Tracking System is up-to-date, including training assignments and completion tracking.
- Plan and lead training sessions on regulatory compliance and company EHS standards, adapting to varying shifts as necessary.
- Perform regulatory/compliance inspections and audits for various EHS programs (LOTO, hazardous waste, fire protection, fall protection, first aid, PIT, SWPPP, SPCC, etc.).
- Collaborate with employees at all levels to address safety concerns and foster strong working relationships with leadership to implement EHS programs across departments.
- Monitor department-specific safety metrics and dashboards, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Support EHS investigations, assist with root cause analysis, and help implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of incidents (injuries, property damage and environmental incidents).
- Maintain accurate safety and environmental documentation for regulatory compliance purposes.
- Support the Occupational Health Specialist and maintain First Responder CPR/AED certification, providing support during site injuries and determining appropriate care.
- Foster a productive, collaborative work environment by maintaining professional relationships and ensuring consistent safety engagement.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours to accommodate rotating shifts.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Professional certifications such as GSP/ASP preferred; ability to obtain CSP upon meeting experience requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in EHS, with a preference for manufacturing industry experience.
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, NRC, etc.).
- Hands‑on experience supporting safety programs (e.g., LOTO, machine guarding, electrical safety, PPE, confined space entry, fall protection).
- Familiarity with industrial hygiene practices and safety program management.
- Strong project ownership and management capabilities.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships across teams, with peers, and external stakeholders/agencies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver reports efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage large groups on complex EHS topics.
The salary range for this full‑time position is $60,500.00 - $95,700.00, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
