The Opportunity

The Finance Manager is a strategic finance leader and trusted business partner on the DN Supply Chain Finance leadership team. This role leads cost of manufacture and labor payroll planning across the DN sites, including Idaho Cheese/Dairy, Colostrum, Pacmoore, and Grains, directing periodic outlooks, forecasts, annual budgets, as well as long-range strategic plans. This role manages overheads reviews, consolidated reporting and performance analysis to provide clear guidance to senior executives, while fostering collaboration across finance and operations teams in multiple locations across the US.

The role also ensure compliance, champions process improvements, and develops talent through coaching and mentorship, strengthening DN’s operational and financial performance in support of strategic business objectives.

Essential Functions
  • Leads cost of manufacture planning across DN sites, including periodic outlooks, forecasts, annual budgets, and 3-5 year strategic plans, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Oversee labor payroll planning for budgets and forecasts, providing clear and detailed labor driver analysis across DN Idaho, Colostrum, Pacmoore, Grains, and DN joint ventures SWC and MWC.
  • Manage monthly overheads reviews, analysis, and reporting, providing guidance to function heads and senior executives.
  • Collaborates with finance and operations teams in multiple geographic locations, delivering analytical support, strategic influence and driving sustained performance, productivity, and completion of key cross‑functional projects.
  • Direct weekly, monthly, annual operational and financial performance analysis and trending, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights through team execution.
  • Consolidates financial and operational performance reporting and presents key drivers to DN leadership.
  • Partners with DN HR on ad hoc payroll related questions.
  • Defines best practices and consistency across the DN finance teams, including process improvements, procedural changes, and financial modeling.
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, company policies, industry guidelines, and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinates annual asset register reviews, obsolete spare parts, property tax reconciliations for DN Idaho.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship and continuous performance feedback to build team capability and support career growth
The Skills you will bring to the team
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years related experience
  • CPA or equivalent license is preferred
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Knowledge of various cost systems, cost analysis, and general accounting procedures and controls
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, graphics, etc.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
