Loan Documentation Specialist - Closed Loans

Job Description

The Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for handling all loans that have paid off. He/she amends all UCC continuations, reviews denials for completeness, provides clerical support for all lending activities, and provides high quality and professional service to lending personnel.

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience helpful, particularly in a financial environment
• Basic knowledge of commercial and consumer loan services and procedures preferred
• Familiarity with general loan documentation helpful
• Accurate and attentive to detail
• Well organized
• Good typing skills
• Willing and able to help others
• Able to use a computer, adding machine, copy machine, and basic business equipment
• Able to get along well with coworkers

• Handle all loans that are paid off; research loans to verify collateral is not cross‑collateralized with other loans; request approval from the lender to release collateral; and release vehicle titles, UCC filings, and Deeds of Trust when applicable.
• Amend UCC filings that have come up for continuation, verify with lender that filings need to be updated, and track all filings to the Premier system.
• Review denials for completeness and verify that denials are processed following the Bank policies and procedures.
• Obtain and convey information as needed.
• Coordinate functions with related departments and branches and provide support as needed.
• Keep management informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns.
• Ensure that customers' requests and questions are promptly resolved.
• Maintain and project the Bank's professional reputation.
• Promote D.L. Evans Bank at all times.
• Serve as a representative for D.L. Evans Bank in the community.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
