• Unit averages 5-6 deliveries per day and 150-180 deliveries per month,

• Patient population includes OB patients 30+ weeks gestation; patients under 30 weeks are stabilized and transferred,

• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 for intrapartum, 1:1-3 for antepartum, and 1:3-4 for postpartum/mother-baby,

• RNs are required to titrate drips including Pitocin, Mag, and Insulin,

• EFM system used is Epic CPN with GE Connect,

• EMR is Epic; candidates with recent Epic experience are preferred - please note the last time Epic was used,

• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a),

• Every other weekend required; nights rotate Fri & Sat as able, subject to change based on unit needs,

• Floating between L&D and postpartum/mother-baby is expected based on staffing and census; travelers may also be floated to sitter shifts elsewhere in the hospital and are typically the first to float,

Job Requirements

• Active  Compact RN license required at time of consideration - pending licenses will not be accepted,

• Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (or Advanced) Fetal Monitoring, or NCC Fetal Monitoring Certification,

• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required, with some postpartum experience,

• Valid driver's license required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of 3 days with a preceptor in both L&D and PP/MB,

• Schedule is made 6 weeks at a time; block scheduling is not accepted and no special scheduling requests will be honored,
