American Traveler is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Twin Falls, Idaho.

American Traveler is seeking a Speech‑Language Pathologist with CCC‑SLP certification and 1+ year of acute care experience for a 13‑week travel assignment at a Level III trauma hospital in Magic Valley, Idaho.

Responsibilities
  • Acute inpatient and acute rehab hospital setting at a Level III trauma center
  • Speech Therapy unit serving patients with diagnoses including stroke, pneumonia, and sepsis
  • Treats approximately –10 patients per day alongside a team of 3 SLPs
  • Covers ICU, acute tower, and rehab unit, with time shared equally between acute inpatient and acute rehab
  • May float to a sister facility approximately 30 minutes away
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30am–6:00pm; travelers have typically worked Friday through Monday but schedule may vary for vacation coverage
  • Weekend coverage is required; holiday coverage on an as-needed basis
  • Rehab aides are available on the unit
  • First‑time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Former permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
  • Orientation typically consists of 2–3 days of department‑specific training; travelers should expect to work Monday–Friday 8‑hour shifts during the onboarding period
  • No blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accepted
  • Scrubs are permitted; colors must not match those of other departments — a list of approved colors is provided upon hire
Requirements
  • Active CCC‑SLP certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care SLP experience required
  • VFSS (video fluoroscopic swallow study) competency required
  • Rehab unit experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience
  • Valid driver's license required for consideration
  • 2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
  • Active state license required; pending licenses will not be accepted — license required if applicable
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
