Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring a Principal ICAM Modernization Leader with deep, hands‑on expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) modernization to join our team. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience architecting, implementing, and leading IAM/ICAM cloud solutions in complex Government environments using Zero Trust.
Why This Role Stands Out
- End-to-end authority. Serve as the technical authority over the full lifecycle of enterprise-level identity, credential, and access management — from planning through implementation — across a cloud ecosystem.
- Technical integration. Drive end-to-end IAM modernization efforts, leading the technical integration of an enterprise IAM ecosystem and overseeing the build, implementation, and transition to a FedRAMP-authorized, cloud-native IAM solution across SaaS and AWS Gov Cloud and program management skills.
- IAM solution-team leadership. Coach direct reports, pull in disciplines from outside the team when the work demands it, and hold quality, cost, schedule, and scope on your signature.
- Government-facing from day one. Brief senior Government officials, align client project teams, external service providers, and subcontractors around one IAM plan and one truth.
What You'll Do
- Apply IAM domain expertise to ensure identity management, access governance, and zero trust best practices are embedded from design through delivery.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate the full project lifecycle for technology infrastructure programs — AWS Cloud and ICAM environment through planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and close‑out.
- Establish project requirements, priorities, and deadlines; design project plans mapping scope, resources, budget, personnel, major tasks, and milestones.
- Manage the agreed scope of solution projects and deliver innovative answers to complex problems — increasing delivery cadence and driving measurable business outcomes.
- Coordinate solution planning across offerings, lead the solution team, and provide the technical leadership and ongoing coaching your direct reports need to grow.
- Direct technological research aligned to the government agency's goals, strategies, practices, and user projects; oversee development of solution roadmaps and drive the vision into execution.
- Manage agile development teams and reason about how each enhancement, defect, or change request lands against the application architecture.
- Own project scope, schedule, cost, and quality management plans — from proposal through Government approval through delivery.
- Interface with internal service delivery teams, client project teams, external service providers, and subcontractors to lock in a shared understanding of the current environment, contract requirements, and proposed solution.
- Present to senior Government officials with the clarity and command the audience expects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust level clearance.
- 15+ years supporting Information Technology as a Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, or Senior Project Manager.
- 7 to 10 years of experience designing, implementing, or managing IAM solutions within AWS Gov Cloud environments.
- Active PMP (or equivalent Project Management certification).
- ITIL Foundation-level command of the knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques used to implement IT service management.
- Strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure, IAM, and AWS Gov Cloud services.
- Demonstrated experience managing agile development teams and evaluating how each request impacts application architecture.
- Experience standing up or maturing IAM programs (SSO, PIV/CAC integration, privileged access, Zero Trust alignment).
- Track record of executing, monitoring, and managing projects to successful, high‑quality, on‑budget completion.
- Expert knowledge of recent technological advances in computer science and engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a real history of briefing senior Government officials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience running technology infrastructure programs inside a federal civilian environment.
- Hands‑on familiarity…
