The Head of Regulatory Affairs – Americas is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance, safeguarding product safety, and enabling innovation across the Americas region. Supporting all business units, this role offers the opportunity to shape Clariant’s regulatory strategy, partner closely with senior business leaders, and represent the company with industry and government bodies. You will lead a talented team of 10, influence strategic decisions, and ensure that Clariant products reach markets safely, compliantly, and efficiently.

, with relocation support available, we are also open to discussing the opportunity with exceptional candidates who may be located near another Clariant site or in a remote capacity. - You will lead and develop the regional product stewardship function to deliver consistent, accurate, and efficient services to all business units
- Ensure resources, systems, and processes are in place to meet business needs while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and corporate standards
- You will partner with business units to support new product launches, supply chain continuity, and proactive safety strategies
- Integrate regulatory requirements into product development and innovation to secure competitive advantage and speed-to-market
- Monitor changes in global and regional regulations, ensure timely product registrations, and manage product safety risks across the Americas
- You will represent Clariant in regulatory bodies, national associations, and industry committees, providing expert guidance on compliance matters, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
- Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering employee development through training, coaching, and succession planning
- Promote best practices, drive efficiency in regulatory services, and act as a trusted advisor to business leadership on complex product stewardship issues
- Bachelor’s degree required, degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline highly preferred
- Minimum 15 years of experience in chemical legislation and the chemical industry with expertise in product stewardship and regulatory affairs, with deep knowledge of global and regional chemical regulations
- The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years in leadership roles within complex, matrix organizations with proven stakeholder management experience
- Minimum 5 years of people management experience with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams
- Robust business acumen with experience supporting innovation and market access strategies
- Advanced understanding of SAP or equivalent regulatory systems preferred
- Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels and functions
