Job Summary Amalgamated Sugar Company, a leader in innovation in the sugar industry, is seeking an experienced Industrial Welder for our Twin Falls, Idaho facility. This heavy‑day labor position involves performing a variety of welding and fabrication tasks throughout the sugar factory and its properties in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The hourly rate for this position is between $33.28 and $37.13.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform welding on both carbon steel and stainless steel in an industrial factory setting
- Work rotating 12‑hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
- Work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis as required
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Climb stairs and ladders while performing duties
- Work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold), both indoors and outdoors
- Read and comprehend written instructions including safety procedures, safety signs, schedules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and manufacturing standards
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in all work areas
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must successfully pass the ASME 6G factory welding test (carbon steel and stainless steel)
- Must be able to reliably commute to Twin Falls, plan to relocate before starting work
- 12‑hour rotating shifts (days or nights)
- Weekend and holiday work required
