Program Overview
Culture for Change Foundation mission: “We Provide education and training for women and youth to promote cultural, social and financial independence, and an inclusive safe space that inspires confidence and joy.” Our purpose:
We aim to involve youth and adult community members in events that give back to the community including mentorship programs, community advocacy, youth educational programs, financial independence/sustainable programs, artistic programs and more. Our vision: is to fully engage society in promoting and encouraging Positive and sustainable community culture.
The Youth Education and Food Security Program Coordinator VISTA will strengthen organizational capacity by researching and designing youth homework and food pantry models. The member will research tutoring and food pantry system best practices; develop surveys and data tools; and create measurable anti-poverty performance indicators.
Key Deliverables- Research tutoring and food security organizations to determine best practices, framework
- Create food pantry use guidelines, sign-in sheets or forms
- Create a follow-up system and framework to ensure beneficiaries have wrap around services
- Develop a resource guide for beneficiaries
- Develop a Culture for Change class guide
- Create food pantry volunteer handbook, training materials, position descriptions
- Develop youth homework and program survey, review and adjust program as needed
- Observe volunteer shifts and adjust training and resources as needed
- Develop tutoring position descriptions, volunteer training, handbook, resources
- Partner with other organizations services to determine best practices, framework
