Physician Assistant ResponsibilitiesThe Physician Assistant is an interdependent member of the primary care team and will function within the established practice plans.
Responsibilities include:
- Exercise professional judgment while providing primary health‑care services to ambulatory patients in the defined patient population.
- Perform patient assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic measures in close collaboration with supervising physicians, clinic physicians, specialists, and community health agencies.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis and therapeutic plans as part of collaborative care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Idaho.
- Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
- Two (2) years of primary‑care experience.
The Nurse Practitioner is an independently licensed practitioner and a collaborative member of the primary care team.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide primary health‑care services to ambulatory patients from newborn to end‑of‑life, including women’s health patients, within the specified population served by Terry Reilly clinics.
- Engage in preventive, acute, chronic, and wellness promotion for patients across all ages.
- Assess, diagnose, and prescribe therapeutic measures in collaboration with physicians, RNs, pharmacists, behavioral health consultants, counselors, specialists, and community agencies.
- Share diagnostic and treatment information with patients and families using shared decision‑making when appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner education program.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Idaho.
Current certification from a national accrediting organization such as the American Nurses Association (ANA) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
