CNA Hearing Screener; Mother Baby Unit

Position: CNA Hearing Screener (Mother Baby Unit)

Join the St. Luke's Magic Valley Mother Baby Unit as a CNA 1 Hearing Screener and play an integral role in ensuring newborns receive critical hearing screenings that help identify potential hearing concerns as early as possible.

In this unique role, you will work directly with newborns and their families, providing hearing screenings, educating parents on the importance of newborn hearing testing, and accurately documenting and communicating results. You will also support the Mother Baby team with administrative and CNA duties as needed.

What You'll Do

* Perform hearing screenings for newborn patients prior to discharge.

* Educate families on the purpose and importance of newborn hearing screening.

* Document, record, and report screening results accurately and timely.

* Collaborate with nurses, providers, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.

* Assist with administrative support tasks within the unit.

* Provide CNA support and patient care assistance as needed.

Schedule

* 32 hours per pay period or 48 hours per a pay period

* Variable schedule with shifts ranging from 3 to 8 hours

* Scheduled approximately 3 days a week or 4 days per week

* Flexible staffing based on the needs of the Mother Baby Unit

Minimum Qualifications

* Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.

* Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR Certification fromone of the following:

* American Heart Association (AHA)

* American Red Cross

* American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI)
