QUALIFICATIONS:
Although, Individual are encouraged to apply, the Ideal candidate with the following experience will only be considered.
Requirements for Health & Safety Environmental Lead (HSE)
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of progressive Health, Safety & Environmental experience within manufacturing, food & beverage production, consumer packaged goods (CPG), industrial manufacturing, or a similarly regulated production environment.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- OSHA regulations
- EPA environmental requirements
- State environmental agencies (such as DNREC or equivalent)
- Industrial safety standards
- Experience developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive HSE programs.
- Experience leading incident investigations utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
- Experience conducting hazard identification, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and workplace risk assessments.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance including:
- Waste management
- Energy reduction initiatives
- Environmental reporting
- Sustainability programs
- Experience supporting ISO Management Systems, including ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 preferred.
- Experience supporting change management initiatives involving new equipment, production processes, or facility modifications.
- Strong knowledge of workers' compensation, injury management, and return-to-work practices is beneficial.
- Experience conducting safety training and employee development programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HSE reporting systems.
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment.

- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry
- ISO 14001 Internal Auditor
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
