Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Summary
Under the supervision of the EHS Manager or EHS Supervisor, the EHS Coordinator is responsible to ensure the company and its employees are adhering to local, state and federal Environmental, Health and Safety regulations as well as all applicable Chobani policies and site procedures.
Responsibilities- Responsible for assisting the Chobani EHS Department in assigned workload.
- Support each department to maintain compliance with applicable regulations consistent with company EHS standards and federal, state and local regulations.
- Review and support non-routine risk assessments to ensure safe working practices.
- Ensure that our Safety Training Tracking System (Success Factors) is kept up to date including assignment profiles and training tracking reports for assigned programs.
- Schedule and lead training activities aimed at compliance with regulatory and company EHS standards with the ability to work various shifts occasionally to deliver training as assigned.
- Conduct regulatory/compliance driven inspections/audits for a variety of EHS programs (LOTO, radiation, hazardous waste, fire protection, fall protection, first aid, PIT, SWPPP, SPCC, etc.).
- Oversee Confined Space Monitors and cart to ensure functionality to include, but not limited to, inspections, monthly calibrations, and regular bump checks.
- Work directly with all levels of Chobani employees to address safety concerns, developing strong working relationships with leadership to help lead EHS programs for entire departments.
- Monitor department-specific safety metrics and dashboards.
- Collect, document, audit, and prioritize feedback from the Near Miss Program.
- Support the site EHS team, conduct EHS investigations and support site reporting by assisting in documentation and identifying root causes and corrective actions that prevent incident recurrence.
- Maintain all safety and environmental documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Support the onsite Occupational Health Specialist, maintain a First Responder CPR/AED Certification and be asked to respond to site injuries to help determine appropriate level of care.
- Work productively and harmoniously with others on a consistent basis.
- Consistently maintain professional and appropriate demeanor.
- Support site Safety Committee and subsequent follow-up actions.
- Experience and Knowledge in regulation (OSHA, EPA, NRC, etc.).
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as external stakeholders/agencies.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Self‑motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks toward timely completion.
- 3-4 Years of experience in a manufacturing environment with key experiences arounds EHS programs.
- Proven success in lead safety position within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Suite proficiency (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, etc.).
- Ability to effectively train large groups of people on complex subjects.
The salary range for this full‑time position is $24.25 - $30.75, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
