Retail Team Member – Garden Center Operations - Seasonal

We are seeking a Retail Team Member to support daily Garden Center operations and elevate the guest experience. This role is ideal for someone who is engaging, authentic, and enjoys connecting with people. You will educate guests, provide solutions, and strengthen the relationship between our brand and the community.

This is a seasonal position running from April through October.

Our Garden Center spans eight acres and includes a nursery, retail barn, and seasonal gift shop. Because our product mix and environment change throughout the year, this position requires adaptability, strong communication, and a willingness to continuously learn and apply new information on the floor.

• Welcome, assist, and educate all guests in accordance with company service standards
• Provide product knowledge and solutions tailored to each guest’s needs
• Operate registers and complete transactions accurately and efficiently
• Water, care for, and maintain plants in greenhouses and outdoor nursery areas
• Assist with stocking, receiving, and maintaining clean retail and yard spaces
• Participate in deliveries and plant installations
  
  Work at off-site locations as needed
• Operate equipment safely or demonstrate willingness to learn
• Load guest purchases and lift items up to 50 pounds
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold
• Stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Positive, team-oriented mindset
• Desire to learn and apply new product knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Comfortable working outdoors and across different areas of the Garden Center
• English communication required;
  Spanish or additional languages are a plus
• Self-motivated, responsible, and dependable

Wage: DOE
