Field Service Technician II
Must live in Twin Falls or Boise, Idaho (or nearby) and within 1 hour of a major airport (Boise preferred). No sponsorship available at this time.
About the RoleThe Field Service Technician II plays a critical role in installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining cup filling, cup fill‑seal, liquid filling, capping, and packaging machinery at customer sites across North and South America, with occasional international support. This hands‑on, travel‑intensive role is ideal for technicians who know cup‑filling and fill‑seal equipment, thrive in fast‑paced environments, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and want to work directly with customers on high‑value industrial equipment.
Responsibilities- Install & Commission Equipment: start up new and refurbished cup‑filling, fill‑seal, capping, and packaging machinery.
- Troubleshoot & Repair: diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and control issues to minimize downtime.
- PLC Diagnostics: modify and debug PLC logic as needed (Allen‑Bradley primary, Siemens secondary).
- Customer Support: train operators and maintenance teams; support trials, upgrades, and format and cup‑size changeovers.
- Preventive Maintenance: perform inspections, upgrades, and reliability improvements.
- Documentation: complete detailed service reports and provide root‑cause feedback to engineering teams.
- Collaboration:
work closely with Electrical Engineering, Project Teams, and Global Service groups.
- Cup filling and fill‑seal experience required.
- OEM or machine‑builder field‑service background on filling, capping, or packaging equipment a plus.
- Hands‑on Allen‑Bradley PLC troubleshooting and logic modification (Siemens a plus).
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including pneumatics and controls.
- Comfortable working independently at customer sites and training customer personnel.
- Associate degree in Electronic Technology or related field.
- Equivalent hands‑on experience may substitute.
- Based in Twin Falls or Boise, Idaho; short‑notice deployments, weekends and extended onsite stays expected.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments.
