Element Heating and Cooling – Twin Falls, (Location)
Position: HVAC Service Technician
Type: Full-time
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Compensation: $18.00 – $34.00 hourly
Hiring Bonus: up to $2,500
Position SummaryThe HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing residential HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and fireplaces. This role involves performing warranty and emergency services, assisting customers with questions, and ensuring all work meets company and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems (gas and electric furnaces, heat pumps, A/C units, ductless mini-splits, ductwork, etc.)
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely
- Educate customers on system performance, proactive repairs, upgrades, and maintenance agreements
- Document all installed equipment and service details (make, model, serial number, test measurements, photos, etc.)
- Work with dispatch to maintain schedule and communicate any delays to customers
- Calibrate systems per manufacturer specifications and replace defective parts as needed
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Work under the direct supervision of management or lead technician to ensure all jobs are completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC experience required
- Valid EPA certification
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs
- Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving skills
- Ability to program thermostats and perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working from ladders (up to 28’) and operating power/hand tools safely
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- High School Diploma or GED
