Victim Services Coordinator
As the next Victim Services Coordinator for the City of Twin Falls, you will play an important role in supporting victims of crime during some of the most difficult and traumatic moments of their lives. This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, calm under pressure, highly organized, and committed to helping individuals understand their rights, access resources, and navigate the criminal justice process.
In this important role, you will advocate for victims’ constitutional rights, assist officers during investigations, and respond to the emotional and physical needs of victims involved in various crimes. You will help connect victims with appropriate resources, including emergency medical treatment, counseling, shelter, employment services, transportation, and other community support services.
As the Victim Services Coordinator, you will:
- Respond to traumatic events such as domestic violence incidents, suicides, accidental deaths, crime scenes, hospitals, and missing children notifications
- Provide and coordinate immediate assistance to victims of crime
- Advocate for victims’ constitutional rights throughout the criminal justice process
- Assist victims in understanding court procedures and the judicial process
- Work with the prosecuting attorney’s office and testify in court when needed
- Provide local, state, and national resource information to victims of crime
- Coordinate emergency resources such as medical care, counseling, shelter, transportation, and other support services
- Conduct, develop, organize, coordinate, and monitor the Victim Services Program
- Provide training to sworn officers, community groups, and others regarding domestic violence, stalking, harassment, and victim support
- Collaborate with police personnel, community partners, service providers, and other agencies to exchange information and coordinate services
- Maintain accurate victim records, case files, reports, and program information
- Keep victim records, criminal activity records, case files, and other sensitive information confidential
- Respond to citizens’ questions and comments in a courteous and timely manner
- Keep the immediate supervisor and designated staff informed of work progress, concerns, and recommendations
- Perform related duties as required
- $23.49 - $33.83 per hour ($48,859 - $70,366 annually), depending on experience
- Full-time, non-exempt position

- Ability to maintain comprehensive records, files, and case information
- Sound judgment and the ability to analyze situations objectively
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Professionalism, integrity, discretion, and a service-oriented approach
- Ability to respond outside of normal work hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Three years of experience in crisis intervention, victim advocacy, social services, criminal justice, or working with victims of trauma is preferred but not required
