Electrical Engineer – Aerospace Electronics (Onsite)

This role focuses on providing hands-on technical support for in-service and legacy aerospace electronics, including power inverters, transformer rectifiers, and generator control units used on military aircraft such as the Embraer KC-390. You will troubleshoot and repair circuit cards down to the component level, support production and manufacturing activities, and drive design-related improvements based on field and test data in a regulated aerospace environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide production technical support for in-service and legacy aerospace electronic products, including power inverters, transformer rectifiers, and generator control units.
  • Troubleshoot aerospace electronic products in a lab environment, including circuit cards and associated hardware, using appropriate test equipment and tools.
  • Perform detailed component-level troubleshooting and repair on circuit cards, including transistors, capacitors, and other electronic components.
  • Prepare clear and accurate dispositions for aerospace electronic product non-conformances, following investigation and development of supporting data as required.
  • Investigate product issues by performing tests, collecting data, and documenting findings to support corrective actions and engineering decisions.
  • Regularly liaise with manufacturing teams and suppliers to clarify requirements and provide engineering input throughout the manufacturing and assembly process.
  • Monitor troubleshooting trends on assigned product lines and analyze first-pass yield data to identify and recommend design-related improvements.
  • Support technicians, design engineers, and external customers by providing technical guidance, documentation, and problem resolution.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and PCB layouts to support troubleshooting and repair activities.
  • Use lab instruments such as multimeters, voltmeters, and other diagnostic tools to verify performance and validate repairs.
  • Contribute to maintaining compliance with FAA Part 145 repair station requirements through accurate documentation and adherence to procedures.
