About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic
Senior Accountant/Managerto join our dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles, a passion for continuous improvement, and experience in manufacturing environments. You will play a key role in financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and cost analysis, while also contributing to team development and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Partner with the Controller to align financial operations with business goals.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
- Deliver financial insights to guide strategic decisions and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including kaizen activities and process optimization.
Talent Development & Team Engagement
- Contribute to recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring finance team members.
- Participate in performance management, training, and recognition programs.
- Support quarterly and annual reviews of team development and performance metrics.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal control standards.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting audit processes.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Analyze financial trends and variances to provide actionable insights.
- Support cost center reporting and performance reviews.
Cost Accounting & Inventory
- Contribute to standard cost development and variance analysis.
- Assist with inventory valuation and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with operations to monitor cost drivers and identify efficiencies.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve data accuracy.
- Support ERP system enhancements and ensure financial system integrity.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations.
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Experience with cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High integrity and alignment with core values.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred or in progress.
