Join Rockwell Automation in Twinsburg, OH as an SAP Production Planning & Inventory Optimization Specialist. You’ll be on-site, reporting to the PCA Team Lead, and you’ll orchestrate order sequencing, inventory health, and supplier follow-ups so production runs without interruption. Cross-functional partnership with Scheduling, Materials, and Engineering is at the heart of this role.
Impact you will make Sequence and release shop orders for your product families/projects based on live capacity and material signals.
Use SAP exception messages and consumption data to drive timely actions that secure part availability; escalate with suppliers when needed.
Guard inventory performance across assigned scope; work with Central Material Analysts and Master Schedulers to correct MIN / MAX breaches with data-driven countermeasures.
Maintain planning master data and parameters—safety stock and reorder points for components and finished goods—aligned to the materials planning playbook and customer service targets.
Analyze short- and long-term capacity with Master Schedulers and Manufacturing Engineers to head off past-due risk.
Develop pragmatic material/manufacturing/procurement strategies to enable NPM (new product manufacturing), including new product introductions and phase-outs.
Align monthly plans for safety stock and targeted finished goods in partnership with the Master Scheduler.
Must meet Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

Preferred profile2+ years in Production & Inventory Control, Operations, Purchasing, or Manufacturing Engineering (minimum of 2 years typically required).Hands-on experience in a material control/production planning environment.
ERP fluency (SAP preferred) and strong planning system knowledge.
APICS CPIM/CIRM/CSCP certification preferred or completed within 24 months.
Advanced user of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
