Direct Hire | Compensation: $35.00 per hourA day in this role
You clock in for second or third shift and review die work orders and pictorials from the prior team. After receiving direction from the Team Leader or Supervisor, you move a casting or trim die using a lift truck to the cleaning bay, break it down safely with the proper equipment, and inspect every core, segment, and detail against print. You machine or rebuild components to match original specifications, then draw-polish and grind cavity surfaces to perfection.
When production calls, you head to the machine to free a stuck casting, correct a dimensional issue, or swap a core or trim punch—all with the die mounted and running. Between jobs, you handle welding in the foundry or the Die Repair Department, button up documentation and sign-offs, and keep the area orderly. You also lend a hand training newer teammates, passing along best practices and safety-first habits.
