Summary / Objective
Advanced-level position responsible for performing setups, operating production machines, and handling complex tasks including troubleshooting and quality assurance. Produce machined product in accordance with required quality, safety, customer specifications, and production schedules. Day Shift: M-TH, 6am-4:30pm.
Essential Functions- Perform machine setups and operate production machines
- Handle complex tooling and production tasks
- Troubleshoot machine issues and ensure quality standards
- Lead or assist in training junior operators
- Comply with all company safety requirements and perform 5S and safety checks
- Perform advanced quality measurements and assurance
- Document job/part numbers and labor data for production
- Lead process improvements and apply Lean Manufacturing methods
- Observe and apply department and company Safety policies and procedures
- Proficient in CNC/Manual setups and running aerospace parts independently.
- Can interpret complex aerospace drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
- Applies AS9100 and ISO
9001 quality system without supervision. - Capable of troubleshooting issues and ensuring process compliance.
- Able to program offsets, make tool adjustments, and maintain documentation.
- Works independently with minimal errors.
- Ability to train level 1-2 on multiple machines
- Ability to run multiple machine types
- Exposure to machine oil and fluids
- Manufacturing/shop environment with large power equipment
- Lifting/moving objects up to 50 pounds
- Standing/walking for extended periods
- Working with and around sharp metal chips and tooling
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Advanced technical training preferred
- Ability to pass a physical and/or vision test as required
- 3-5 years of machining experience preferred
- Experience with setups and quality systems preferred
