Position: Production Operator – Twinsburg, OH – On-Site 1st Shift (6am - 2:30pm)
Position OverviewThe Production Operator reports to the Production Manager/Supervisor and is responsible for operating equipment and associated processes such as preparing raw materials & packaging, unloading, packing, labeling, in compliance with legal, company rules and quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities- Preparation of raw materials and packaging: identifying & preparing the right quantities and transporting them to the appropriate production area, reporting any deviations from normal, noting start and finish of process.
- Operating processing equipment in line with process instructions and procedures.
- Monitoring equipment, keeping processes running at desired run rates.
- Completing initial testing and release of products to ensure no deviations to specifications.
- Checking labels & packaging material, ensuring correct labeling following existing rules and instructions.
- Packaging the final products in accordance with instructions and H.B. Fuller quality standards.
- Conducting all operations in compliance with the expected quality standards, operating procedures, and respecting all legal and company EHS rules.
- Responsible for housekeeping in his area of responsibility.
- Carrying out any other duties requested from the Production Manager/Supervisor.
- Basic educational degree or high school diploma or general education diploma.
- Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office).
- Ability to read and understand work orders, production process, safety regulations and quality procedures and instructions.
- Availability to work in shifts.
- 1 year experience in an industrial environment.
- Understanding of basic English.
- Required to stand for long periods of time; walk and climb stairs; use hands to remove or lift boxes; stretch and reach with arms extended; stoop and bend.
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Temperature, dust, smell, and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $18.00.
