Position Summary The Production Technician I is an entry-level manufacturing position responsible for learning and performing fundamental production processes involved in the manufacturing of thermocouples and related temperature sensing products. Under close supervision, this role performs standardized assembly, fabrication, inspection, and material handling tasks while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Responsibilities Perform basic thermocouple manufacturing operations following established work instructions.
Assemble, strip, plug, wash, weld, cut, or prepare components as assigned.
Learn proper use of manufacturing equipment and hand tools.
Read and follow work orders, travelers, drawings, and production documentation.
Perform visual inspections to identify obvious quality issues.
Maintain organized and clean workstations using 5S principles.
Report equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns to supervision.
Follow all quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
Meet production expectations while maintaining workmanship standards.
Cross-train in multiple entry-level production processes.
Who We Are Looking For High school diploma or equivalent.
Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Ability to read basic work instructions.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Willingness to learn multiple manufacturing processes.
