Grinder Operator / Material Handler

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Grinder Operator / Material Handler to join our team. This role involves grinding parts with a hand grinder, organizing and stacking parts on skids, and moving them once the skids are loaded. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment, using a hand grinder to process parts, lifting up to 50 lbs, and utilizing a small crane as needed for heavier parts.

This role will require attention to detail and the ability to flip parts to grind both sides.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load table with parts at the start of each shift.
• Use a hand grinder to grind parts to specifications.
• Flip parts as necessary to grind both sides, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Place finished parts on skids and ensure they are properly organized and secure.
• Once skids are loaded, transport them to the appropriate location within the facility.
• Utilize a small crane at each station for lifting heavier parts as needed.
• Ensure that all work is completed safely, adhering to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Assist with other tasks as required to support the workflow of the plant.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating hand grinders or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move materials safely.
• Familiarity with crane operation or willingness to learn.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to work for extended periods while standing or moving.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
