Position: Shop Supervisor |2nd Shift|

The Shop Supervisor should have knowledge of equipment and be an experienced mechanic. This position is responsible for supervising technicians and managing daily operations within the Twinsburg Shop, as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

Shift: 3pm-1:30am, Monday-Friday

Wage:
Based on industry experience; overtime available.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; mechanical schooling preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experienced mechanic
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong mechanical skills and good people skills
  • Experience with gasoline and/or Diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, drive trains, and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of shop safety practices and equipment

Advanced Mechanical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to assign daily tasks to technicians
  • Leadership qualities and mechanical repair expertise
  • Knowledge of air brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulic systems, drive train, electrical systems
  • ASE certification in Brakes preferred
  • Tools provided by employee; welding skills are a plus but not required

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Understand job requirements and ensure proper completion
  • Supervise employees directly and indirectly
  • Provide coaching to new employees
  • Exercise discretion in issuing discipline
  • Make hiring recommendations
  • Promote company policies and standards
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment issues
  • Complete work promptly and document repairs
  • Use fleet maintenance software for documentation
  • Follow safety practices and OSHA standards
