General Description:

The Concrete Foreman will organize and supervise a crew to install footings, walls, prep slabs, and site concrete for commercial or industrial structures. Serving as liaison between the Project Management team and our Field crews, this position includes complete ownership of the quality and production of our foundations, walls, floors and site concrete.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of the work, including quality and production, ensuring that the crew works to job specifications and follows the plans
  • Lead a crew of 5–15 finishers, carpenters, and laborers
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members and support their development
  • Communicate with Field staff and Operations team to review full details of project cost, manpower, equipment, and scheduling
  • Report time, quantities, and all site paperwork into the computer and turn in to the office
  • Ensure the safety of crew members and working environment by following OSHA and safety guidelines
  • Forecast material, equipment, and tool requirements and schedule concrete, stone, and material orders
  • Read, interpret, and troubleshoot drawings and specifications, identifying constructability issues early
  • Conduct pre-pour and post-pour inspections of formwork, rebar, and embeds
  • Document and track extra work with written tickets and photos
  • Conduct daily safety talks and enforce PPE usage
  • Build strong customer relationships through daily communication with GC superintendents

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience supervising crews
  • Ability to organize all equipment, materials, and tools and forecast future requirements
  • Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot drawings
  • Ability to calculate stone, concrete, and material quantities
  • Ability to understand and perform job layout for footings, walls, and slabs
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Current valid driver’s license and pre-employment drug screen
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred (OSHA 10 minimum) — training provided
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Union scale wages with overtime opportunities
