General Description:
The Laborer must work safely and productively on various sized concrete construction project sites. A successful candidate in this role must be highly motivated, responsible, and both have the ability and be willing to complete any task assigned, along with performing the essential duties of the Laborer position. All employees are expected to communicate and build relationships with other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general construction labor, including job site clean-up
- Set and strip wall forms and assist in pouring concrete
- Spread, rake, and screed concrete during placement
- Set anchor bolts, embeds, and steel plates
- Move various construction materials, both by hand and utilizing various material transport mechanisms
- Perform functions according to company and OSHA safety guidelines
- Install re-shores per instructions
- Work with the concrete crew on and around concrete forms assisting with concrete pour and finish
- Work with buckets and pump truck to place concrete
- Clean, inspect, and perform routine maintenance of equipment and tools
Requirements:
- Previous use of concrete tools, equipment and machines
- Ability to work off-shift hours and overtime as required
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights multiple levels above ground
- OSHA 10 certification preferred — training provided
- Union scale wages with overtime opportunities
