Service Truck Technician

Responsibilities

• Repair trucks and trailers to include tire repair and/or tire replacement.
• Replace fuel filters and jump start trucks or refrigerated trailers.
• Replace batteries, alternators, trailer door seals, trailer dolley legs, trailer doors and hardware, wheel seals, and repair air brake systems.
• Repair coolant leaks and patch holes in trailer roof, side panels, and floor.
• Repair electrical and lighting problems, repair suspension and air‑ride systems.
• Weld and repair mud flap brackets, ICC bumpers, and other components that may need welding.
• Perform other mechanic repairs that can be done outside of the shop building.
• Communicate with the Shop Manager and Road Breakdown using a cell phone or 2‑way radio.
• Fill out work orders and document parts used and labor times for repairs completed.
• Drive the service truck from the shop to the service site and return to the shop.
• Keep the service truck fueled and perform proper maintenance to keep it operational.
• Keep the service truck clean.
• Maintain an inventory of parts and restock parts as needed, taking along parts that may be required for on‑site repairs.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $21.89 - $29.18 per hour. Offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
