Parts Support Specialist

Provide parts support for the sales, service and rental departments. In addition, this role is tasked with entering part orders into the Base plan database taking the sale from start to finish. The individual in this position will interact with employees and managers in other departments and locations at Jack Doheny Company. Receiving and reacting to directions other than from your immediate supervisor will be required periodically.

Conversely, there will also be time when the person in this position must give directions to others.

Direct hire!!! Rates and shifts:

• $22.00 - $28.00 per hour (depending on experience)
• Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (flexible hours)

Job responsibilities:

• Taking phone orders from customers and seeing them through to shipping
• Support service and warranty functions by ordering and/or sourcing parts, services and supplies
• Planning, organizing, administering, directing and controlling parts distribution operations to assure efficient and profitable utilization of manpower, facilities, equipment and funds
• Meeting and exceeding facility key measures to insure profitability and future growth
• Providing superior customer service and achieving operational excellence while staying ahead of the competition
• Assist with warehouse operations, including receiving, stock keeping, physical inventories & cycle counts and shipping
• Pick up emergency parts from local vendors as needed
• Assist with A/R collection on past due invoices
• Assist in identifying and selling obsolete/overstock inventory

Requirements:

• Experience working in a heavy equipment or truck dealership environment, specifically in the parts area
• Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, organize and motivate
• In a high-performance work environment to achieve established goals while maintaining respect for people and our customers
• Proven track record of customer focus
• Ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (listening, verbal and written)
• Knowledge of parts distribution procedures
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, etc. Ability to learn our Base plan software.
• Knowledge of the aftermarket parts
• The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
