Inventory Control Specialist - Distribution Center Warehouse – National DCP

Location:

Twinsburg, Ohio

Job Type: Full-time | Shift: Day, Sunday through Thursday 7 am to 1:00 pm

Training schedule:
Monday through Friday, duration approximately 4–6 weeks

Position Overview

Perform cycle counts in all areas of the warehouse. Compile and report findings to the management team, maintain accurate inventory levels, ensure transactions are executed accurately and timely, and document and post adjustments promptly. Collaborate with operational teams to uphold compliance and best‑practice procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cycle count activities in accordance with NDCP procedures.
  • Identify and correct inventory discrepancies at the location level as needed, including count, location, hidden damages, etc.
  • Prepare reports using Manhattan, SAP, and Excel, and present findings to Management.
  • Work with key personnel to identify and implement process improvements that optimize overall location and item‑level accuracy and maintain high productivity.
  • Check in daily returns, RARs, damages, and overages.
  • Verify that code‑dated product is rotated properly.
  • Provide troubleshooting, analysis, and recommendations on inventory system hardware (RF scanners, mobile hand‑held computers, vehicle‑mounted terminals).
  • Move pallets with forklift or powered jacks.
  • Participate on project teams as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in an inventory/materials role preferred.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management and ERP Systems;
    Manhattan TLM/WM or SAP preferred.
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Basic leadership skills with a willingness to learn, improve, and adapt.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematics.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience using an RF gun preferred.
Other Requirements
  • Flexible to work weekends to support operations or projects.
  • Travel required as needed to support Inventory Control at other Distribution Centers.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and view a computer screen for extended periods.
  • Ability to walk, lift, tug, pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Must work within a Distribution Center with temperature variations, including freezer and cooler environments.
