Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all applicable labor and tax laws, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Duties

• Process payroll using software such as Busy Busy and Vista by Viewpoint.
• Ensure accurate data entry related to employee hours, benefits, deductions, and tax information.
• Process and submit certified payrolls.
• Process and submit employee benefits to multiple unions.
• Maintain and update employee records.
• Assist with year-end reporting requirements such as W-2s.
• Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.

Skills

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Strong analytical skills combined with a good understanding of financial concepts related to payroll management.
• Expertise in spreadsheets (Excel) and accurate data entry.
• Experience with payroll and accounting software is a plus.
